Keeping in liaison with the commitment to promote academic excellence and socially relevant education, Graphic Era Hill University is organizing a Workshop on “Open Educational Resources” at its Dehradun Campus on 10-11 June, 2013.
The Internet has become an increasingly important feature of the learning environment. Over time, the users of the Internet and World Wide Web have benefited from the big improvements in their ability to learn and the way they pursue their academic interests. A majority of the Internet users also consistently report that it helps them to do their job better and improves the way they get information about anything using internet search engines and the websites like Wikipedia. The quest for knowledge in Internet has also led to the development of the free teaching, learning and research resources known as open educational resources that reside in the public domain and can be accessed by anyone and at anytime free of cost.
We take this opportunity to invite you and your colleagues to this Workshop. This event would provide a common forum for academia and practitioners to exchange their views in different areas related to Open Educational Resources. This workshop is aimed at building capacity in the area of Open Educational Resources by imparting training to educators, teachers and trainers who share the vision for free educational resources. The details of the workshop are available in the enclosed brochure. Kindly circulate the brochure among the faculty members and research scholars of Engineering, Management, Law, Communication, Social Sciences, Sciences and Humanities of your Department / Institute/University.
The Workshop Sessions will be interspersed with talk and presentations by prominent speakers like Prof. M. M. Pant, Prof. Sanjay Jasola and Dr. R. C. Sharma .
