The Mechanical Engineering Department, M.N.I.T. Jaipur is glad to invite you for the TEQIP sponsored short term training program (STTP) in association with Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE), NHQ-Mumbai  on “Six Sigma Tools & Applications” from 16th to 20th December, 2013.The STTP will include exciting and stimulating issues which will be presented and discussed by renowned invited speakers. This initiative creates a great opportunity to bring a wide range of skills, techniques in Technical Education with the support of TEQIP.
A description about the program is given as follows:
Six Sigma methodology is used in many industries in its drive for enhancing innovation and productivity. This program gives participants a comprehensive understanding of how Six Sigma works to generate the benefits it offers. Participants receive an overview of the key principles, strategies and tools used in Six Sigma initiative and how this methodology can get and keep your organization on the road to success.
The Six Sigma course focuses on process improvement through waste elimination and variation reduction. It is applied on processes that are inefficient and ineffective. The applications of tools are not restricted to manufacturing or engineering processes, it could also be applied to transitional process in Human Resources, Finance or Services (Banking, Healthcare etc.).
Academicians and consultants with proven knowledge, industrial experience, and demonstrable ability in teaching, consultancy, research, and training in the field of Six-sigma and related areas will deliver and demonstrate lectures, tutorials, laboratory experiments, and cases in the short-term course.

Note: Guest rooms are available for faculty @Rs. 150 per day in institute hostel and food can be taken in hostel canteen by purchasing coupons. Student participant will be given accommodation in hostel dormitory. Working lunch will be provided to all the participants.
