2-Day MDP

Target Audience: This MDP is aimed at Professionals from Marketing, Public Relations, Branding, Communication, Advertising, Sales, Operations and Business School Faculty to help them learn and practice how to effectively use Social Media. This program will also help individuals to enhance their personal brand on Social Media so that they can further their careers.

Details of MDP:

Drucker famously said, “There is only one purpose of a business and that is to create and keep a customer”. Creating a customer is through creating a brand for your product and service. You keep a customer by engaging and interacting with them. In old times, Brands were created through conventional media, now Brands are increasingly being built through new media.
Focus in this MDP will be on how to design, organize and implement social media campaigns that reach one’s target audience while further building your brand equity. The session will be led by a team of academicians and practioners with an appropriate mix of theory, practice and case discussions to equip you to leverage Social Media in the most effective manner.
In this MDP you will learn:

  • How Traditional Media Marketing Efforts need to be complimented and in some cases replaced by Social Media Marketing?
  • How Social Media is transforming business and organizations?
  • How to develop an effective Social Media Presence?
  • How to develop a Social Media Strategy based on targeting, brand positioning and consumer insight

MDP Leaders:
  • Dr. P. K. Abraham, currently the Dean(Development) at XIME, Kochi was earlier Director of MACFAST (Mar Athanasios College for Advanced Studies, Thiruvalla) Business School from 2002 to 2011. Held positions of General Manager FACT Ltd., Chief Editor and MD, Deepika Group of Publications and Chief Editor, Veekshanam Daily. He holds a Ph.D in Economics, M.A. in Public Administration and MBA. He is a regular columnist and writer in various publications.
  • Amitabh Verma, is the founder of ads4growth.com, a digital marketing firm aim firm aimed at providing integrated digital marketing solutions. His previous job was with Google as Head of Managed Global SMB advertisers. He had over 15 years of experience in internet technology, financial services and education. He holds an MBA from IIM Kozhikode  and is a Economics graduate from Delhi School of Economics.
  • Manoj Varghese, currently the Dean (Academics) at XIME, Kochi was earlier Director at Facebook and Google. He has close to 10 years of experience with Google and Facebook and he spearheaded the expansion of both the companies in India. With over 17 years of industry experience across various IT companies and manufacturing companies he is seen as a thought leader in trends across operations and human resources in digital industry. He holds an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur and an engineering degree from NIT, Calicut
